Awesome novel. Definitely deserving of the best isekai ever title, since MC has actual f*ck*ng morals and isn't a pedophile and creates a d*mn harem with every girl he finds. If you aren't caught up, wtf are you doing scrolling in the reviews, just get caught up.

I am not very good at writing myself nor particularly accurately sharing my emotions but I do love reading. So here goes nothing. Tldr: A truly great peace of fantasy literature that everyone should give a try at least. Don't be discouraged at the very beginning. The story evolves fast. If you like world building, interesting and complex magic system, engaging characters, I highly recommend you give this masterpiece a shot. Now for the long, spoiler free, read: I have read a lot (I can now confidently say hundreds) of books over the long years and fantasy is my favorite genre along with historical fiction, ever since first time reading the likes of LotR and The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. From what I have read so far, TBATE is growing on me more and more and surely becoming one of my all time favorites. The imagination the author has is wonderful to experience. In no particular order, the magic system, the world building, characters and their emotions and relationships, different POVs, story progression and development, plot twists, style of writing, etc. even the whole isekai, reincarnation thing which I am a fan of but not crazy about. All wonderful things to enjoy and experience. Being a HUGE fan of Mushoku Tensei, I have quickly fallen in love with TBATE even tho I must confess I did not particularly appreciate the similarities at the very beginning since they appeared more like stealing ideas and less like paying respect or nodding (hey, don't judge, I am trying to be honest here). But very fast I realised, like hopefully everyone else who starts reading, that this story takes a road of it's own. Everything is meticulously thought through (even the reincarnation thing) and this author rewards your attention to detail and good memory. I like the world, the characters and their dynamics, the events and everything and anything going on. And for sure lets not forget what got me into fantasy, all those years ago, in the first place. Dragons, swords, magic, that romanticised, fictional, medieval world with kings and knights. If you are fan of at least some of the above mentioned things I highly recommend you give this a try. You will not be disappointed. I am eager and not at the same time, to see how the story ends. Like we can see in many examples (Martin and Rotfuss I am looking at you), it is fat easier to start a story than it is to finish it, but I do not doubt TurtleMe can pull it off. I realise this might not be worthy of even being called a review, but I really felt like sharing my opinion and emotions so thanks for the patience, eager to see what you can add and I am up for discussions.

That's what you want from a novel. Great magic system, a charismatic hard working mc and a wonderful world. Don't be intimidated by the same reincarnation tropes because it's explained later on the novel. It's full of drama, epic and comedy. It's on my top 5. Great writing, long chapters and a splendid plot. Give it a try!

One of the best fantasy novels I've read. The progression of the story and character development is pretty slow but it's better for understanding everything. The main character isn't some all-powerful, emotionless b*st*rd which I enjoy a lot. The descriptions of places and magic is really good, it's very easy to picture every little detail.

This was my first novel I started with. It holds a special place in my heart and is a fantastic start to those who want to start getting into novels. Great world building and amazing characters. Unique power system in the way it's implemented and an overall amazing writing style and fight scenes. It definitely deserves more than 5 stars for it's ability to make you fall in love with novels and branch out to see more

tbate is just wonderful, book 7 and 8 (the relic tombs and alacrya arc) is just peak fiction and the way Turtle Me describes thinks is just perfect to the point where i can see a situation in my head like im actually there in the flesh. At parts it felt dragged out but the climaxes made up for the sometimes long waits for big events as the tension rose.

The best story and world in the genre of isekai by far and power system very nice And it's very interesting when you learn more about it, and the best part of the story is that you never get tired of it
