Although, considering that he hadn't heard anything about the sect elders or the elders from the different independent sects being moved around in preparation for any further expansion, he guessed that they should have also come to the same conclusion as him and decided to focus on increasing the strength of the sect before thinking about expanding any further.

Only ever showing up in case their power was threatened or something important that couldn't be ignored took place.

Suddenly freezing on the spot as he voiced his inner thoughts out loud, Xuan Hao had no idea what to say, as his current behavior did indeed seem to align with the different ancestor figures he had encountered so far.
